Where possible you should access your primary Sussex university mailbox to read and respond to all communications within the university. So setting up auto forwarding rules another account should not be required.
IMPORTANT: To comply with the Data Protection Act, you must not auto-forward your incoming email to another person's email address. If you want another person to handle email meant for you, set up an autoreply directing them to an alternative address. Instructions for setting up autoreplies are given in FAQ 2298.
IMPORTANT: In accordance with our data security policies you are not permitted to auto forward emails to an external personal address.
However, some staff and students working or studying with our trusted partners may have accounts with both organisations and so forwarding to the domains listed below are permitted:

To ensure you don't miss any email from ÃûæÂÖ±²¥, BSMS students and staff and other trusted partners are advised to forward mail they would receive in their Sussex mailbox, to their primary mailbox eg. user@bsms.ac.uk.

If any mail originates from an external email address this will be blocked by our mail security settings. If you are expecting mail from an external source, you should check your ÃûæÂÖ±²¥ mailbox first and ask the sender to use your preferred address instead.
