Module Outline

This module is designed to enhance the transferable skills of the students to better prepare them for both later parts of their course and future careers. It will cover specific lab-related skills such as data analysis and statistics, other important academic skills such as scientific writing, figure production and communication as well as more career-orientated skills such as writing personal statements and producing CV's and online profiles.

Confidently use statistical tools when presenting numerical data.

Produce figures of the standard required for journal publication.

Effectively use a variety of communication devices to promote themselves and their work.
