Module Outline
You will learn about research methods and practices while you develop your knowledge and understanding of chemistry. This is particularly valuable if you are considering a research career. During your research placement in the summer vacation each year, you will work as a member of one of the Department¿s research groups and receive a stipend to cover your living costs.
During your research placement, you will explore research methods, learn to understand and use scientific literature, and develop practical skills. The placement can be done in the same research group each year or a different one in different years. You will work on a project to contribute to the research programme of the group.
