Module Outline
This module is designed to allow students the opportunity to design and perform an original piece of research in consultation with a research supervisor. The student will perform experiments that will set out to answer questions posed at the beginning of the experimental work.
Module learning outcomes
Achieve a comprehensive understanding of how research projects are organised and executed.
Be able to critically evaluate experimental data and make sound judgements on incomplete data sets.
Exercise initiative and personal responsibility in managing the various activities associated with executing a complex research project.
