Module Outline

This module is suitable for those engaged in any health or social care setting, or those students who wish to enhance their skills in applying research literature, policies and guidelines. The module aims to provide students with critical understanding of the elements of evidence based practice and its role in decision making.

Module learning outcomes

Demonstrate comprehensive evidence-searching skills

Critically evaluate research and the broader evidence based by assessing the validity and usefulness of each source

Critically appraise the role that governmental and non-governmental agencies play in the development of guidance for best practice

Demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge of, and commitment to, principles of equity in service evaluation and provision.
