Sometimes described as a new Wild West in space, this rush to deploy constellations of spacecraft threatens to do irreparable harm to astronomy, and to the view of the universe we too easily take for granted."
Professor Massey works with partners in the UK and globally to protect the sky for astronomers, and all of us.
"This is a quietly urgent problem, one that unusually we can take on at the outset, if we can find a way for the benefits of space to be enjoyed at the same time as minimising harm.
