In his talk, “Capitalism, ecology, and class struggle in the 21st century,” Hickel explores a central question of our time: how can we ensure prosperity for all while protecting the planet?
Drawing on his research on global inequality and ecological economics, Hickel will examine the paradox of a world with unprecedented production and ecological breakdown alongside widespread deprivation. The lecture builds on ideas from his bestselling books Less is More and The Divide.
