Module Outline

This course will explore the existence and nature of conscious and unconscious mental processes in the domains of learning, memory, perception, and volition.

Module learning outcomes

Evaluate the relevance of empirical evidence concerning the conscious or unconscious status of mental states

Discuss the contribution of different domains or disciplines (e.g. psychology, philosophy, computational modelling, or neuroscience) to understanding the difference between conscious and unconscious processes
