Level 7 (Masters)
Summer teaching
In this module, you’ll learn how to manage research data across each stage of the data lifecycle. You’ll work through the full process, including:

- data creation
- data management
- publication
- long‑term preservation
- issues of sharing and re‑use.
You’ll examine both qualitative and quantitative forms of social science data and consider the challenges that arise when working with different types. You’ll also explore how researchers plan, organise and maintain data – in ways that support responsible practice, long‑term preservation and effective re‑use across a range of research contexts.
