Viewing submissions, testing and exporting
Form results can be viewed by selecting the view icon
Selecting that icon will give you a list of all of the results that have currently been gathered. The table they are shown in can be sorted by selecting the header of the column.
You will get a number of different options on the results page:
Test form
Before you add a form to your page you may wish to test out the form yourself. Using this option will allow you to fill in the form as a user would (without having to first put it on a live page). The submission is then shown on the results page but highlighted as a test submission. If you have set the form to close after a certain number of submission then tests of the form do not count towards that number.
This is a great way to make sure the form looks as you want, reads and flows well, and is generally usable, all before the users get to see it.
Export
If you have results you can export them as either an XLSX file, which is a nicely formatted Excel document, or as a CSV file which is more plain-text and can be used in various other situation.
When exporting the results you have the option to include any test results you may have submitted via the above method, or just submissions that have come in via someone submitting the form from your site.
If you have a form that includes files uploaded as part of the submissions, the exported information will be contained in a zip file. This zip file will contain the responses in the XLSX or CSV file but also a directory structure of the files. This directory structure will be broken down first by response id (which is shown as a column in the XLSX or CSV file) and then by the question label. Almost every operating system should be able to open a zip file.
Delete all responses
Please note: In general form data should not be left within the WCM system once it has been processed. If it needs to be stored it should be downloaded into a spreadsheet and stored according to GDPR rules.
Please make sure you download the data, if it is needed, before deleting - there is no backup once the data has been deleted.
