Home page banner slideshow
Only specific sites get this ability, so if you don't see the option for your homepage then you can simply ignore this section.
You can manage your homepage banner slideshow if you have the banner slideshow options in the site structure:
By selecting that link you'll be presented with a list of all of your images that you've previous uploaded (either as a content image or banner image) that are large enough to become a homepage banner. If you'd like to have additional images listed here then you must first upload them either as a content image or a banner image - whatever makes sense to you and whether you'd like to reuse the image within the content of your page or as banner on other pages.
From the list of available images you would select the image you want to make in to a homepage banner. You'll be asked to crop the image appropriately for your homepage (similar to how you would crop any other page banner) and once complete the image will become available as a homepage banner.
From here you can now select the image from the available homepage banners that you want to add to your slideshow. Once you have selected all the images you want to use they will be added to your list of banners and from that list you can rearrange the order or remove any banners you want. You'll also be able to tweak the speed at which the images fade between each other (around 5 seconds produces a nice effect).
Once you're happy with your changes, click on the save banner changes button and your new homepage slideshow will be set.
Please note
The options you see in the banner ordering area may change depending on what type of homepage banner slideshow and template is being used on your site. One slideshow type (as above) only allows for the banner image to be set. Others may additionally allow optional text or urls to be used. It is not possible for you to be able to change the slideshow type because that is dependant on the core template setup of your site.
